Will a shoulder brace help a rotator cuff injury?
i strained or tore my rotator cuff and want to know if wearing a brace will let me return to sports sooner? I was looking at the evs-sb02 and the mcdavid braces
My son had a rotator cuff injury......all we did was apply hot for 20 min and then cold for 20 mins.......heat brings blood to the area to aid healing...and cold constricts the blood so it does not get too swollen or painful...........I bought him a brace but he rarely used it, as he said it was very uncomfortable.
The doc gave him some exercises to do, and these speeded up his recovery.
It took about 3 weeks to heal itself, in order to become mobile again....and then about 2 months with weight training....it was completely back to normal.
