Yoga is spiritual practices originating in India, which is commonly seen as "technologies or discipline of meditation and asceticism" aiming at spiritual experience and profound understanding of nature of existence. The word yoga in Sanskrit means "yuj" "to control", "to unite", "to yoke".
Outside India, yoga is generally associated with Asanas meaning in Sanskrit postures. There are total 84 Asanas, each with different name, distinct way of performing and distinguish significance. Asanas lead to good health along better and enlightening living. However, the Asanas derived from ancient times of Indian scriptures but its scientific system of physical exercise, which requires following particular set of rules to have satisfactory result.
By performing asanas one rejuvenates and helps the body to achieve state of balance.

The very first yoga is Surya Namaskar meaning paying homage to the sun. All yogas start with Surya Namaskar nourishing the upper part of the body.
The Uttan Pada asana means raising the legs, uttan meaning to rise and pada is legs. This asana helps you combat spinal disorder and strengths the spinal code.
Paschimothan asana popular as forward bend, one touch the toes while stretching the back, bringing flexibility to the back and restore the spinal straightness.
Bhujansa asana in which upper body raises above meant for woman helps to achieve the youthful appearance named after king of snakes' cobra makes childbirth easy.
Salabha asana is reverse to the above asana, Bhujansa, in this the lower half of the body is raised above the earth level, activates the organs of lower body, looks like locust, a type of grass hopper.

Hala asana is one the most difficult asana to perform since it requires extreme forward bending and its unique asana to gain sexual powers.
The last asana to do is Shava asana means yogic method to sleep better known as yoga Nidra, relaxing the mind and body of the soul.
There is no particular time to practice yoga as such but best time is to do early morning in an airy space but stick to the same place and time, try to keep your mind free from all worries and anxiety.
